The plant was found in Roanoke, Virginia, in the woods southeast of Lafelles Pool at Hanging Rock. The photograph was taken by Myrl Brooks on May 11, 1950. Photographer's remarks on photocard: "Like all other representatives of the orchis family in the region it should not be disturbed for any reason." |
