Description This image shows a view of the Blue Ridge Parkway under development. A clearing is visible on the right side of the road, in which there is a line of dead chestnut trees. There is a wooded area with live trees behind the chestnut trees. The image was taken near station 1024+75 and milepost 155 in Section 1Q of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The photograph was taken in 1937 by Malcolm A. Bird.
