Description | Photograph shows a retired forester named Frank Miller standing next to an automobile near Wolf Mountain Overlook at mile post 424.8 in section 2V of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Taken by Robert G. Bruce in August 1976. |
Commentary | Section 2-V of the Blue Ridge Parkway passes through the Pisgah National Forest. Forest roads are among the few that cross this section of the parkway. Because the National Park Service and the United States Forest Service have different goals, they had to form a specific alliance to work together for the goal of the public. |
