Commentary | Construction in some areas of the Blue Ridge Parkway, such as portions of section 2F, were completed by the early 1950s. The beautiful views along the Parkway were enhanced by the "historic design landscape" employed by the National Park Service. Also seen in this photograph is the parkway's extraordinarily large right-of-way which averaged 800 feet throughout the Parkway. |
