Commentary | This picture shows the beginning of construction at bridge #10. They are just beginning to pour the cement in order to construct the second abutment at the site. Abutments were used to support and create the arches seen on most bridges of the Blue Ridge Parkway. This construction was most likely completed by the Civilian Conservation Corp. |
