About this Item
Title | Dressed Slopes and Road Intersection |
Date | October 29, 1936 |
Description | Photograph shows people walking, a piece of farm equipment, and multiple small buildings near an unpaved road intersection in section 2A of the Blue Ridge Parkway. |
Commentary | This picture shows an almost completed portion of the parkway with dressed slopes traveling through farmland. It is interesting that there is a road intersection because the parkway was designed to make sure that there would not be many intersections between the Blue Ridge Parkway and other roads in the nearby vicinity. |
