North Carolina State Issue, 1863
NC Three-Dollar Note
Printed date "Jan. 1st, 1863."
This is an example of the only three-dollar note issued during the war by North Carolina's state government. The central vignette of liberty and plenty is the same as that used on one 1862 variety of North Carolina five-dollar notes.
